When you visit Let's Say Thanks, you have the opportunity to send a free printed postcard to U.S. military personnel stationed overseas showing your support and appreciation for their service to our country. It is free and easy and will take only a minute. So please visit and just say thanks!

Also, today is Veteran's Day, so please take the time to thank a veteran or current military member.

This is a video of "The Star-Spangled Banner" being sung by five young ladies at a Texas Tech University Basketball game. You have never heard it performed better than this! The two young ladies on the right are six years old. The two in the middle are seven and the one on the left is eight. You will be happy you watched. Trust me.

Donate Water

Nearly 1 billion people don't have access to clean, safe drinking water.
The Problem:
For too many...dirty, diseased water leads to a cycle of sickness, lack of education, poverty and lost hope. It is needless suffering.
The Solution:
Decide this has to change. Get involved. Help us fund safe water projects.
What to Do:
Donate and help fund a well. We'll send you a tracking link instantly so you can follow the specific project you helped fund. Then see the impact your donation makes. As little as $20 can give one person clean water for 20 years. You can also visit freepoverty.com, a website where sponsors donate water for every geography question answered correctly.

Free Rice

The most recent estimate, released in 2009 by FAO, says that 1.02 billion people in this world are undernourished (15 percent of the estimated world population of 6.8 billion). The increase in world hunger in recent years has been due to three factors: 1) neglect of agriculture relevant to very poor people by governments and international agencies; 2) the current worldwide economic crisis, and 3) the significant increase of food prices in the last several years which has been devastating to those with only a few dollars a day to spend.

The most disturbing part of these statistics is that The world produces enough food to feed everyone. To learn more, go to the world hunger website. Even though these are large and significant statistics, there are easy and free opportunities for everyone to help. One innovative website Free Rice, lets people answer vocabulary questions to stop world hunger. Sponsors pay for advertising on the website by donating 10 grains of rice to those in need for every vocabulary question answered correctly. There are different levels of difficulty and there is no limit as to how much or how often one can play. Another website with the same basic premise is The Hunger Site. All you have to do is go to the site, click a button, and sponsors donate 1 cup of food to the hungry per click. These are great and easy ways to help and Free Rice also helps you better your vocabulary while you're at it. Please take a minute to check out these websites, bookmark them, and make them a part of your daily routine.

TOMS

TOMS Shoes was founded on a simple premise: With every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need. One for One. Many children in developing countries grow up barefoot. Whether at play, doing chores or going to school, these children are at risk. These risks include soil-transmitted diseases, which can penetrate the skin through bare feet and cuts and sores that often lead to the contraction of debilitating diseases. In addition to these risks, children, many times, cannot attend school barefoot because shoes are a required part of their uniform.
Not only are these shoes a great way to help, but they are stylish and would make a great holiday gift this year. TOMS has many different styles and sizes for men, women and children. Please consider going to TOMS Website and purchasing a pair to help someone in need and make a fashion statement while you're at it.
